Datisfy Referral Partner Program
The Datisfy Referral Partner Program was created to encourage and acknowledge personal introductions to prospective customers whose reporting requirements exceed what QuickBooks alone can provide. Our best referral sources are QuickBooks ProAdvisors and consultants. Why? Because your customers and prospects already use QuickBooks and they already value and trust your expertise. Plus, we’re pretty sure you don’t want to spend years learning how to do custom report design for the various QuickBooks data sources.
Sometimes you have a referral for us – but they aren’t your customer. They came to you because of the strong identity you’ve built online. You haven’t seen their QuickBooks file. They just asked for custom reports and you’re happy to direct them to the right resource. These customers tend to be much more work for us if, for example, they haven’t set up their files very well. We are more than happy to acknowledge the introduction at a lower tier.
General Terms
- We ask that if you want to use any of our marketing materials (logo, etc.) you simply ask. We’d love to have a link to us on your site or in a blog post.
- We ask that you speak well of us, and if something isn’t right, let us know so we can make it right. We’ll do the same.
- Once a prospective customer has been introduced to us, our relationship with the customer is separate and distinct. Everything we do or propose to do will be towards the best interest of the customer.
- Referral Procedure: We will provide an email template that you must use to properly edify our services, your relationship with the customer, or knowledge of what you understand the customer desires. We do this because well-crafted introductions usually turn into good projects.
- Both parties agree that all information of a confidential nature received from the other party will remain confidential. This includes information related to pricing, discounts, referral information, intellectual property, or if designated as confidential by either of the parties.
- We may modify this agreement, and if/when we do, we’ll make sure you receive notification of the changes.
- This agreement can be terminated at any time, by either party, with 30 days written (email) notice. Any outstanding referral fees will be paid irrespective of termination upon payment in full by the customer. No additional referral fees will be paid if the agreement has been terminated.
- If we determine the project is not a good fit for our services, we reserve the right to introduce the prospect to another service provider. If we do receive a referral fee from that service provider, we will send you 50% of that referral fee once we receive it.
Specific Terms
A referral fee will be payable when the following conditions are met:
- You have sent an email of introduction using the template we provide or other methods that we approve in advance of the introduction
- The prospective customer has submitted an Application Form and booked a Complimentary Custom Report Consultation
- The customer has signed a contract with Datisfy and paid in full
- If multiple partners refer the same prospect for a solution to distinct problems
- Referral claims remain valid for one year after initial introduction (we know it can take a while to get people into action)
- You have provided your banking information so that we can do Direct Deposit
The following are not eligible for referral fees:
- Pilot Projects (investigative proof-of-concept projects to ensure we can satisfy the requirements)
- Rush fees
- Projects beyond the first year of working with your referral unless it’s a subscription purchase
- Support Plans or Tickets
- Introductions that do not turn into a paid engagement
- Introductions to a prospect who has already completed a reporting engagement with us – but we will find another way to thank you for doing so!
- If multiple partners refer the same prospect for a solution to the same problem; the initial email date received will determine the recipient of the commission
Tier 1 – Introduction Referral Fees
10% of total project fees for the first year after the initial invoice is sent to the customer. The criteria for this referral is as follows:
- The prospect is not already your customer
- You have not provided any paid services to this prospect
- You have had no influence on the state of their QB file, data entry practices, or file configuration
- You do not expect nor desire to advise, guide, influence, or otherwise work on the project with the prospect
Tier 2 – Partner Referral Fees
12% of total project fees for new report development. The criteria for this referral is as follows:
- The prospect is already your customer
- You are or have been in a contractual relationship with the customer
- You are willing and able to provide help, advice, direction, or influence to ensure a satisfactory outcome for a paid engagement
- You want to have insight into how the engagement is going
Payment Terms
Within 30 days of payment in full by the customer. Payment will be sent in the currency of the customer’s currency unless otherwise discussed.
Payment Method
US-based Partners: We will send a request from our bank, Truly Financial, for you to add your bank details for payment via ACH.
Canadian-based Parters: For RBC customers, we’ll do a direct transfer upon receipt of your account and transit numbers. For others, we’ll need your full bank details for direct transfer.
